Steve Sears spent 25 years in local church ministry before following a longing for a faith more fully shaped by the way of Jesus. Today, Steve is co-founder of a community garden where he and others hope to nurture a space rooted in love, belonging, and peace. He holds a Master of Arts in Ministry with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation.

In "Original Goodness: Reclaiming the Beauty of God, Ourselves, and the World," Steve writes for people who love Jesus but feel weary of versions of faith that don't look much like him. He offers a hopeful vision of a God of self-giving love, a humanity created good, and a world where there is no "us and them," only us. He is currently at work on a follow-up book that builds on what Original Goodness began.

Steve lives in Southern California with his wife, Lesley, a dog, cats, and three donkeys named Jake, Henri, and Romeo. You can sign up to get updates about their writing here.
